Week in review . . .

Boy oh boy, it has just been one of those weeks where I just felt so tired, I kept wanting to post some pics but just couldn't get around to it. I don't know why we really didn't do much. Maybe I just needed a little break. Here are some highlights for the week.
The most exciting thing for this week was that Ryder turned 8 months on the 29th ! ! ! We can't believe our little man is 8 months old ! ! His "Big 1" birthday celebration planning is under way (already).
Ryder has really been trying to "bust a move" and crawl, he just can't quite figure it out. That's OK by me, I figure that once he starts crawling I'll have a whole new set of worries. I know that he will be getting into everything.
Go, Ryder, Go ! ! !

We celebrated my dad's birthday on Sunday. The whole fam was there (minus my man, he had to work, seems like he always has to work :(
I have also been slacking in the picture taking this week, I did get this cute picture of Ryder checking out his little cousin Jesse. Ryder looks like a GIANT ! ! !

We had pasta for dinner one night and I thought why not let Ryder try it. It was whole wheat pasta, I mixed in some of his chicken puree that I made, just a tiny bit of sauce and pureed it all up together. You would think that this would be a yummy dinner for any baby, but not my picky eater. He gagged and threw up. Poor guy. If it's not fruit or sweet potatoes he doesn't want any part of it. I'm gonna keep trying though.

Jason and I had Thursday off together, that was a treat. His sergeant gave all the guys a day off for a barbeque, pool party, poker tournament. Jason took Ryder swimming and of course Ryder loved it. My man also won 1st place in the poker tournament. I was cheering him on from the sidelines saying "come on daddy, momma needs a new pair of shoes!"

Ryder in his room getting into all of his TOYS ! ! !

He loves to just pull the toys off the bench. I will also put all his toys in a basket and he will just sit there and take each toy out one at a time and this will keep him entertained for awhile.

We are still patiently waiting for Ryder to get some TEETH.....I keep thinking that he is teething and I check him every morning, but no teeth. I say that he knows what he is doing. He doesn't want to crawl or get teeth any time soon, he wants to stay my little baby as long as possible. That's OK by me ! !

We are excited for next month. Ryder will go for his 9 month visit with his pediatrician, I wonder how much he will weigh. We will also have his 9 month photo shoot. I always look forward to pictures ! !

  2. Hi Lisa!!!
Stacie got her 1st 6 teeth all in about a week or two span and thus ended up in the hospital due to severe dehydration, so I think getting teeth gradually is best, Corie was my earliest tooth getter, 2 teeth at 4 months old, her Daddy had 2 teeth was 3 months old, and my MIL is use to say when they get a tooth you get pregnant as that is what happened to her, she was pregnant with Mike and Chuck and Mike share the same birthday 1 year apart!!!!
No worries on crawling either, it seems all babies are crawling later in life then back when you kids were kids, all my kids were crawling by 7 months, Stacie at 6 months, but then she walked at 9 months!!!
Camdyn didn't crawl til she was 9 months, and we go to story hour and lots of babies are not crawling at 8 to 9 month stage, some don't walk til much older too, so it doesn't matter in life when you crawled and walked, just loved!!!!! And he is loved alot!!!!
    hugs,
    jamie
