He's On a ROLL ! ! !

I have been putting Ryder on tummy time with my camera close at hand hoping that he would roll over from his tummy onto his back. I was really wanting to get it on camera........and I have been......

and waiting.......and today was the BIG DAY (and on his 4 month b-day) ! !

Look Who's 4 MONTHS OLD Today....

Ryder Jason Gibbs ! !

I can't believe it ! ! My little baby is 4 months old ! ! I seems like it went by so quickly, but at the same time it seems like Ryder has been around alot longer than 4 months. He has made life so much sweeter ! ! He is such a HAPPY baby, so SILLY, and EXTRA SUPER CUTE ! !

Lunch Date

Today me,my mom, and Ryder went out for lunch at Popo's. We have been eating at this mexican restaurant since I was a little girl.

Notice the pacifier in Ryder's mouth! Ever since he was born he has refused a pacifier, in fact he would get angry if you tried to give him one. In the last week he has been sucking on his hands more than usual and fussing so I tried giving him the paci and he took it right away. He was having a hard time keeping it in his mouth at first, but now he is a pro. I thought I would get by and not have to give him one, but he really does like it and it makes him happy, so paci it is! !

While we were eating I decided to dip Ryder's pacifier in my ice water just to cool it off. He seemed to really like that, so I decided to let him try a piece of ICE! ! He stuck his tongue out and was licking it, he didn't know what to think. I have been very strict with my rule of breast milk only and he has never had anything besides my milk. When I told Jason that I let him try ice he said that I was breaking my own rule, and I said "I'm the Mommy, I don't have any rules"

Ryder has his 4 month appointment next week and his pediatrician said that she would talk to me about starting him on cereal! ! I am so excited to see his first taste! ! I can't wait ! !

Daddy and Ryder! !

Jason is off on Mondays and Tuesdays and watches Ryder all day while I am at work. This schedule is not ideal, on Jasons days off I work all day, then Jason is off to Gila Bend, so we really don't have much time together. I wish I could hang out with the guys. On Monday Jason took Ryder out to Gila Bend and met some of his friends out there. Tuesday the boys went to Bass Pro Shops (Ryder will probably have many trips there), they went out to lunch with Nana and visited Grandpa Gibbs after work! ! Jason is having so much fun being a Daddy and he does such a great job with Ryder! !

Jason dressed Ryder in his cool Guess outfit on Monday, I made sure that he took pictures ! !

Thursday, Park Day ! !

Yesterday Ryder and I went and picked up Aunt Michelle and we spent the afternoon at the park. It is getting too warm out already! ! We fed the ducks and the geese. Why are geese so mean, it seems that any park I go to the geese are always mean and try coming after you! There were some cute little baby ducks with thier mommy, we fed them the most. Ryder always enjoys being outdoors so I am dreading the summer time, it's just too hot for baby, I will have to think of some fun indoor activities for mommy and baby! !

BathTime with Nana ! !

Ryder's Nana was over on Monday to babysit and she gave Ryder his bath! ! He loves his baths and splashed so much water the kitchen floor was soaked! !

BIG BOY ! ! Found His Feet ! !

This morning while I was getting ready Ryder was hanging out in his crib. I peeked in to check on him, and he has his feet! ! He has been playing with his feet if he is sitting on his butt on someones lap, but this was the first time that I saw him grab them while lying down.

We went to the park this afternoon and I put Ryder in his big boy stroller instead of using his little baby car seat! ! I think he liked being able to look out at all the sights! After all he is a BIG BOY! !

Here he is practicing sitting on his butt. He kind of just tips forward, but it's a start!

He's A Jumper! !

Ryder was playing in his "Johnny Jumper" he is just learning how this thing works. He is a Jumpin' Baby! ! This Jumper is really cool, it just attaches to any doorway, Ryder Loves it! ! His Uncle Zeb (my brother) got this for him. He looks sooo CUTE! !

I think all the JUMPING really pooped him out. He fell asleep in there ! !

Mommy is SICK :(

Well, I think that the stress and craziness of starting back to work really took a toll on my body. I began feeling a little under the weather on Friday and by the time I got home on Saturday my body hurt so bad. I was achy, had chills, my throat hurt. By Monday morning I felt worse and I was worried that Ryder had caught some yuckiness from me. Jason took me to urgent care, turns out that I have strep throat. We also took Ryder to his pediatrician and thank god his test for strep came back negative. I am starting to feel a little better today, the hardest part is not being able to kiss my baby. I think that I give him about a thousand kisses a day!

At Ryder's Dr. appointment he weighed in at 16 lbs. 8.5 ounces ! ! He sure is a CUTE LITTLE CHUNKER ! ! !

Yesterday Jason made plans for him and Ryder so I could get some much needed rest. They met up with some friends for lunch at Westgate. After lunch he took Ryder to Cabelas to look at all the animals they have on display.
